I am not much of a baker but if there’s something that I like, I can’t sleep well till I know how to make it. So today I am making me a Puto Cheese. A famous filipino delicacy.
Here’s what you need:
•4 cup all-purpose flour
•2-1/2 tbsp. baking powder
•2 cup sugar
•2-1/2 cup water
•1/2 cup butter, melted
•1 cup evaporated milk
•1 egg, at room temperature
•slices of cheese
What to do:
Prepare steamer with water. Prepare and grease individual molds (I used muffin cups); set aside.
In a bowl, Mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and sugar.
Remove puto from the steamer. Unmold and arrange in a serving platter.
